About the Project

Crick Solar Farm is a 49.9MW project being developed by Voltalia UK Ltd (‘Voltalia’). The site is located to the north and south of Kilsby Road, approximately 1km south-east of Kilsby in West Northamptonshire.

The planning application for Crick Solar Farm was submitted to West Northamptonshire Council in November 2022 (application reference. WND/2022/1084). 

Planning consent, subject to conditions, was granted by the Strategic Planning Committee on 18 June 2024.

Documents submitted for the planning application can be viewed on the West Northamptonshire Planning Register.

Planning submission

The planning application for Crick Solar Farm was submitted to West Northamptonshire Council. It was validated in January 2023.

September
Kilsby Climate Action Festival

Voltalia attended the Kilsby Climate Action Festival and presented on the benefits and challenges of renewable energy.

Planning permission

The West Northamptonshire Council Strategic Planning Committee granted the project planning consent, with conditions, on 18 June 2024.
